Picked this up as Briggs's story sets up Cry Wolf, a novel I read first. A bit too much of the fated relationship, and the setup was rather mind-stretching in terms of credulity, but I rather liked Anna -- she struck me as very much the character Briggs said she was (the type to have a calming effect), which doesn't always hold true. Couldn't make it through the Wilks; the Chance was a little too light-hearted and RPGish in setting, but fun; and the Sunny was ripped straight from Laurell K. Hamilton.
