What a breath of fresh air! It's not common to find YA SF, let alone an intelligent YA book. I am really excited to get my hands on the next book. Next year seems so far away! Years ago, I read Ender's Saga & the Shadow series. While I LOVED Ender's Game & really liked Ender's Shadow, I was increasingly disappointed as I continued with both series. It's not that they were especially bad, they just didn't have the same punch. Pathfinder has redeemed Card in my eyes. I hated being disappointed with his writing, so I didn't read anything more of his until now. I'm just super glad to be a big fan, again.

Another Eggers masterpiece. There are so many sentences and images that are incredibly memorable. This goes without paying tribute to the characters, ideas, and struggles that run throughout the book's entirety. Amazing description of middle school dances and imaginary underwater kingdoms of talking, pipe smoking raccoons.
