My first review got entirely lost into the web ether so I'll just summarise this one: * a lengthy book but quite quick to read * enjoyable! * good background research (I did spot a few mistakes, but mainly in the Norwegian bits) * Norwegians! (I didn't know in advance!) * the plot draws you in and the nature descriptions are spot-on (amazing for an agoraphobic!) * a good murder mystery Warmly recommended! 18 November 2009 I just re-read this novel as I chose it for our book club for this month. Unfortunately I couldn't actually be there for the book club meeting, but I still wanted to read the novel. I liked it just as much the second time I read it, and as I had forgotten a lot, I found it just as exciting!
