David Sedaris is the master of drawing from his own hilarious, quirky and often heartbreaking experiences and turning them into stories that will stay with you for a long time.

Wonderful tale interweaving two time periods with historical content for realism and adventure. Not a fast read and one must stay focused on the story and not become distracted with "geek" talk. If you like math this is for you with many theorems depicting cryptonomolic coding that frustrated me when attempting to understand or work through the logic. However what a powerful and wild ride of imaginative thought,
