This is extremely funny, one of those books where you actually feel guilty for laughing as you know you should be disgusted with the tone and the way the lead character, Isaac, a VERY troubled writer, is living his life in the realms of the 'hell's piut' of North London but you cant help but feel both pleasure in his antics and also if youve lived in London totally agree with what parts of the city is like to live in when you're at that 'limbo' age waiting to hit 30 but having no idea what to do with your life and you're stuck in a rut. Funniest moment has to be the nightclub scene in Tottenham Court Road as Isaac goes from wanting to have a drink, to giving up drinking, to drinking way too much, all the space of 1page due his scizophrenic double life!
