After reading hundreds of historical novels of the same ilk, I still get tickled by Sally MacKenzie and her Naked series. The situations aren't entirely preposterous and her characters are 3-dimensional and very likable. And she tries to deal with some of the social issues of the time, while keeping it pretty light and easy. So if you love historical romance and love to laugh, cheer on, and groan with the characters then this book and this series are for you.
