I wanted to like this book; I really did. Some of the descriptive writing was nice, and the commentary on family life rang true. But there were long stretches of time where I was bored out of my mind, and I had trouble accepting giant leaps in the way characters were acting. Overall, I was really disappointed with this book for most of the time.
