Atlas Shrugged is the libertarian's bible. It sets a scenario where the United States culture is dominated by socialist mentality and how this mentality is quickly destroying the nation. The book certainly illuminates the major shortcomings of all leftist doctrines. However, the book is probably too simplistic in its view of both big government and libertarian philosophies. Also, the story takes a backseat to the book's philosophy.
