Before I read this book, I was admittedly not a car girl. I rarely drove and was hardly what you'd call a fun passenger. When I got in a car, I would get instantly uncomfortable, itchy and mean. But all that has changed because of this lovely book! Not only do I feel better prepared for inevitable life tragedies, but I have gained a respect for the art of driving. I also feel inspired to consider how much power a person (or a dog) truly has when he accepts and respects his boundaries but still looks ahead, not only in day-to-day living but also when confronting illness. The plot of this book is simple, but the message and philosophy is pure and deep and universal: look ahead.
